I offer in-person appointments in Lafayette, Colorado on Mondays (all-day) and Friday mornings. I offer virtual appointments on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, and virtual appointments in the evenings on Mondays on a first come, first served basis.
I also offer three slots weekly on Sunday evenings to teen clients to accommodate difficulty of scheduling during the school day. These have varying availability on a first come, first served basis and may be determined week to week - but I do offer them! -
At the end of each session, we take two minutes together to determine date of next appointment. You can also schedule multiple weeks at a time if needed - I am flexible!
Occasionally, a client needs to check their schedule and get back to me, and that works for me too. My clientele often has a variety of scheduling challenges that I accomodate the best I can.
-
If you cancel less than 24 hours prior to our appointment and we cannot reschedule you to a different opening in my schedule within the same week from Mon through Sunday, I will charge my full fee for the late cancellation. I do offer one annual free late cancellation for clients to apply when needed, as I understand life happens and sometimes we cannot control a scheduling conflict!
-
If you are more than 30 minutes late to your session, I will consider it a no-show, and the information about no-shows below will be applied. If you arrive less than 30 minutes late to your session, we will still determine how to make the best of the time we have together, but you will still be charged your full session fee.
If you no-show an appointment with me, I will ask if you’d like to apply your annual late cancellation credit to the fee. If this has been utilized already, I will charge the full session fee and we will reschedule further appointments upon our next conversation.

I do not take insurance at this time, which is an intentional decision for my autonomy in my practice, and not a lack of concern for clients’ financial needs.
Please hear me say - insurance may be the only way some people can access care, which I 100% understand, and I use insurance for many aspects of my own healthcare!
For mental health care, insurance companies require a diagnosis and “medical necessity” for treatment, which can limit client access to insurance-covered therapy if they do not fit the insurance company’s criteria for coverage eligibility.
For example, some insurance companies may require a diagnosis of PTSD to cover EMDR treatment. Meeting PTSD criteria requires clients to have experienced their symptoms for over six months. However, EMDR can be used to treat much more than solely PTSD, and can be utilized sooner than six months after an incident to alleviate trauma symptoms, and prevent ongoing suffering. I do not want insurance to dictate my clients’ coverage to get the care they deserve, when they want to receive it!
Additionally, some insurance companies limit the number of sessions which a client can access, which may not match the best treatment plan timeline for the client. The information requested by the insurance companies, like session summaries or diagnoses, can also become part of a client’s permanent medical record, which clients may or may not want, for a variety of reasons.
If you are interested in checking your Out of Network benefits for mental health therapy, I suggest utilizing Thrizer. This is my individualized link to get your specific estimate. They will take your insurance information and determine your deductible that you will need to meet first, and then the cost of your sessions once you’ve met your deductible. Many clients have found this as a valuable resource!

Yes! I can provide a superbill for you to reimburse with your insurance if you have this benefit. Some insurances require a diagnosis on superbills, which I can usually provide, unless there is no applicable diagnosis present. I cannot guarantee that the insurance company will provide you with reimbursement for the services and do not take responsibility for any denials they communicate.

I hold a specific number of reduced-fee spots for clients who express need for accommodation on pricing for their services. These spots may or may not be filled at any one time. This can be discussed in our consultation call and session number can be determined from there.
For clients navigating problem gambling or the problem gambling of a loved one, the Problem Gambling Coalition of Colorado offers financial support for therapy sessions that you can apply when working with me, and you or your loved one may qualify. -
I require a card on file and I charge the card after every session. You will receive an invoice to your email as a record of the service.

In our first few sessions, we will determine initial therapy goals to work on together. Sometimes, these goals evolve or other circumstances arise that warrant our attention first - and that is okay too! I will occasionally revisit our therapy goals and where we are at in the process to make sure we feel we are on track.
Often, once those goals are achieved, people will decrease their frequency of sessions to monthly check-ins, or they will pause services and reach out when they feel it would be helpful to resume.

There’s no set length of time for therapy to “work” and progress looks different for everyone. That’s one of the hardest parts about healing and self-improvement! I do my best to incorporate abundance mindset to our sessions and point out progress where I notice it along the way. I also teach you to look for the progress as well, so you feel it for yourself.
For sport performance, I sometimes suggest a certain amount of sessions to discuss techniques for improvement and opportunity to assess how the techniques are working. From there, we determine if sessions with me are a good place to continue to practice them or maintain accountability for their implementation. I can teach you the skills, but it’s up to you to be consistent and apply them! Other times, we determine a specific timeline for the sessions that correlates with a sport season, or with the off-season to build the mental muscle before the season starts. If you have a specific financial situation that impacts the number of sessions you are able to pay for, we can always discuss options for structuring to address as much as we can with the time we have. You also have the right to a Good Faith estimate in which I provide perspective on how many sessions to expect and we can adjust accordingly.
-
In our first few sessions, we can determine them together - you don’t need to come in with something set in stone! There is often a circumstance or feeling causing an emotion or behavior (like stress, frustration, overthinking, or feeling stuck) that we can address and I can provide insight and tools to better manage what you’re dealing with.
Other times, people want to connect with a therapist to simply have someone they trust to discuss stressors and circumstances that arise in their life. This can look like being consistent with appointments for a specific length of time, and stretching out frequency over time as the stressors decrease or become better-managed.
I have also had people reach out when life is going well, and they want support or accountability to maintain this wellbeing. Therapy is not always about coming back from a struggle! -
Absolutely! My goal is to make sure any folks who reach out to me are connected with the best fit for what they are working on. If we connect and either of us determines that a different therapist may be a better fit for any reason, I welcome the conversation and am happy to provide referrals to other providers.
